Giving undermines any false confidence in ourselves and any false hope in the fickle nature of wealth. It nurtures real gratitude, makes us rich in good deeds, and sets our sights on storing up eternal treasures that will neither perish, spoil or fade.
Even more so, we are only able to give freely, cheerfully and sacrificially as we grow in our wonder of how God has given His Son, His treasure, to us—freely, cheerfully and sacrificially.
